Fox Den Assisted Living Facility about us

Fox Den Retirement Community is a 32 bed, Assisted Living Home, owned and operated by Steve and Cindy Patterson, who live above the facility with their daughters. Since 1996, they, along with their Staff, have created a family atmosphere in which residents are supervised or assisted with their daily needs and medications. Their goal is to create an ambiance allowing Residents to enjoy life, far from an “institutional” environment.

Accommodations

Fox Den is pleased to offer 12 Efficiency Apartments, and 20 Private Rooms.

Our Apartments are equipped with a Kitchenette, complete with a refrigerator, stove, and beautiful bay window. Adjacent to the Kitchen is a spacious Bedroom with ample closet space, and a private, accessible bathroom. Should there be any emergency, all our rooms feature an “Emergency Buzzer” system that will notify a Staff Member immediately.

Our Private Rooms are fully furnished, with a large bay window overlooking the grounds. Each room is connected to its own semi-private bathroom, complete with a walk-in shower. A sink and vanity are located within the room for additional privacy.

Common Rooms:

Living Room:

Residents are encouraged to relax in our spacious Living Room. A large television and ample seating arrangements allow our Residents to socialize easily and comfortably. Ever ready to entertain, our friendly bird “Molly” is quick to make anyone feel right at home!

Library:

For those who would prefer a quieter, more tranquil setting, our Library offers the perfect chance to read, or perhaps visit with family members. We are happy to provide a wide variety of reading materials, games, and audio tapes, for anyone interested. This room is also used frequently for any religious services: Bible Studies, Catholic Communion, Sunday Worship gatherings, and the Rosary.

Salon:

Conveniently located in-house, we welcome all residents to enjoy the benefit of our Salon. Whether one prefers a Perm, a Cut, or even just a simple Wash, our Hairdresser is always willing to please any request!

Dining Room:

Our home would not be complete without our cozy, family-style Dining Room. Residents take great pleasure in socializing while enjoying the delicious home-cooked meals.

Our Grounds:

Built in 1989, Fox Den was designed with the Senior Citizen as priority, allowing for easy accessibility throughout the grounds, as well as complying with all Fire Safety Codes. To set the stage for a serene and relaxing environment, gardens and sitting areas are provided for all to enjoy. Our front gazebo is situated by our newly designed fountain, and is only a few steps from our farmer’s porch. Located in the back of the facility, directly off of the Dining Room, Residents take great pleasure in entertaining family and friends in our second, larger Gazebo. A beautiful flower garden wraps around the gazebo, displaying Nature at her best!

Activities and Entertainment:

We encourage all our Residents to take part in our many fun activities. The Activity coordinator on staff does their best to create an entertaining atmosphere with special events, games, musical entertainment, and much more! With our specially designed Bus, Seniors are able to enjoy weekly shopping trips, restaurant outings, scenic rides, and occasionally, a mystery bus ride! A monthly Activity Calendar is handed out and posted to allow Residents to plan for the coming activities. At the end of each month, the Fox Den Newsletter is published to allow family members to stay active in the happenings of their loved one.
